Representing Alliance during the event were Mr. Kendrick Chong, Vice President for Commercial and Partnerships, and Ms. Mary Elizabeth Cunanan, Account Executive, who joined fellow members, partners, and business leaders from various industries.

Held on 26 May 2026, the ECCP AGM brought together members, guests, and partners for the Chamber's largest annual gathering to date. For Alliance, the AGM was an opportunity to further strengthen its relationship with the European business community. With existing clients and partners operating within the region, participating in the event allowed the company to reconnect with fellow members, exchange insights with industry leaders, and gain a deeper understanding of current business priorities and opportunities.

The event also provided an opportunity to establish new connections with European companies that have operations in the Philippines, supporting Alliance's commitment to building long-term relationships and expanding its presence within the European business community which was also emphasized by Senator Migz Zubiri, one of the keynote speakers, who highlighted the importance of strengthening business relations between Europe and the Philippines and reaffirmed his commitment to fostering deeper collaboration and stronger partnerships between both sides.

The meeting also featured the presentation of the President's and Treasurer's Reports, the election of the new Board of Directors, and keynote messages from distinguished leaders from both the public and private sectors. The day's activities concluded with the ECCP Sunset Socials, a networking event attended by nearly 500 guests, where Dr. Diana Edralin was introduced as the Chamber's first female and Filipina President, together with the announcement of the 2026–2027 Board of Directors.

These engagements enable the company to stay informed about evolving business priorities while continuously strengthening relationships with customers, partners, and the broader European business community.

Ultimately, participation in the ECCP reflects the company's belief that strong partnerships are built through continuous engagement. By remaining actively involved in organizations such as the ECCP, Alliance continues to strengthen its relationships with the European business community while supporting its long-term growth and creating value for its customers and partners.

Alliance End to End Solutions: Where We Make an Impact

What does it truly mean to make an impact? At Alliance, it means helping businesses, professionals, and communities respond to real operational challenges, embrace innovation, and pursue sustainable growth. More than simply providing technology, we seek to understand how organizations work, identify opportunities for improvement, and deliver practical solutions that support efficiency, visibility, and better decision-making.

Today’s business landscape continues to evolve, and technology plays an increasingly important role in helping organizations remain agile and competitive. Meaningful digital transformation requires more than adopting individual systems. It requires an end-to-end approach that considers an organization's processes, people, information, and long-term goals. This is why Alliance continues to engage with industry leaders, business communities, partners, and professional organizations—to better understand their evolving needs and explore how technology can address them.

Our involvement in industry events allows us to engage directly with the communities we serve. In advertising and marketing events, we connect with creative professionals and businesses to explore how technology can strengthen customer engagement, improve operational responsiveness, and support growing business needs. These interactions allow us to exchange ideas while gaining a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by organizations in highly dynamic, customer-focused industries.

At retail and food industry events such as WOFEX, we engage with business owners and industry leaders who manage fast-moving operations where process efficiency, timely information, and operational visibility are essential. A common challenge among growing businesses is managing information across multiple locations and processes while maintaining accurate, timely data. Through our solutions, we demonstrate how integrated systems can help streamline operations, improve visibility across business functions, and enable organizations to make more informed, data-driven decisions.

Our chamber partnerships extend this impact by strengthening Alliance's connections within the broader business community. Through these partnerships, we participate in conversations around innovation, operational improvement, and business growth while building relationships with organizations facing similar challenges.

Our engagement with the ICT community, meanwhile, keeps us connected to developments in emerging technologies, enterprise solutions, automation, and digital transformation. These interactions allow us to exchange technical and practical insights and explore how new technologies can be applied to real-world business challenges.

Through professional organizations such as PICPA, we connect with finance and accounting professionals to explore how technology can support more efficient processes, stronger financial visibility, and better decision-making. These engagements highlight the value of solutions that go beyond task automation by providing reliable information that organizations can use for both financial and operational planning.

For Alliance, making an impact goes beyond delivering technology. It means listening to the needs of different industries, translating business challenges into practical solutions, and supporting organizations throughout their transformation journey. By continuing to engage with business communities, professional organizations, and industry leaders, Alliance remains committed to delivering practical solutions that help organizations innovate, adapt, and achieve sustainable growth in an increasingly digital world.

SPARK Days Refreshes Developers on Clean Coding with SonarQube

Last July 2, 2026, the company’s well-known knowledge-sharing initiative, SPARK Days, hosted a session on SonarQube and its vital role in maintaining code quality. Facilitated by Mr. Geo (Project Leader), the session refreshed employees’ understanding of the platform and highlighted its continued importance in modern software development. Participants were able to learn how SonarQube helps teams identify issues early, enforce coding standards, and improve overall software quality.

SonarQube is a reliable, industry-standard tool for static code analysis developed by Sonar. The platform itself continuously inspects and improves the quality of the source code, helping organizations consistently deliver maintainable, secure, and high-quality software. The tool performs static code analysis, which means analyzing the source code itself to detect potential issues before deployment. It uses a predefined set of rules to identify bugs, security vulnerabilities, duplicated code, code smells, and other maintainability concerns.

The discussion covered several of SonarQube’s capabilities in software development. One key highlight was the platform’s support for multiple programming languages, including C#, Java, Python, TypeScript, and many more. The broad language support demonstrates why SonarQube is a valuable tool for software projects across Alliance.

The main event of the session was a comprehensive, end-to-end live demonstration of the SonarQube platform. The walkthrough allowed the attendees to observe the entire SonarQube workflow in action, starting with initial installation and setup, followed by source code scanning, and concluding with how to interpret analysis results through the SonarQube web application. The following section provides a closer look at each key stage of the demonstration conducted during the session.

1. Installation and setup

The demonstration began with the speaker discussing the SonarQube edition used, prerequisites for the installation, and the initial configuration of the SonarQube platform. Participants were introduced to the required setup files and the process of connecting a project to the SonarQube Server. One of the key aspects demonstrated was how an authentication token is used to securely establish a connection between the project and the SonarQube Server before code analysis begins.

2. SonarQube Web Application

Following the setup, attendees were given an overview of the SonarQube web application. The presenter showed the expected display of the platform’s dashboard, Quality profiles, Quality Gates, and analysis reports that can be accessed and managed. This interface of the platform serves as the central hub for monitoring code quality and reviewing analysis results.

3. Source Code Scanning

For this stage, the presenter prepared a sample codebase ahead of time for the demonstration. The presenter then demonstrated scanning the source code via the SonarQube platform. In this process, the scanner analyzed the project’s source code and uploaded the results to the SonarQube server. Once uploaded, the code was evaluated against predefined rules to detect bugs, security vulnerabilities, code smells, duplicated code, and other maintainability issues.

4. Viewing the Analysis Results

The final stage focused on reading the analysis reports through the SonarQube web application. Attendees learned how to examine detected issues and potential risks, review code quality metrics, and identify areas of improvement. One notable feature demonstrated during this stage was SonarQube's ability to explain why the code was flagged as an issue.

The session wrapped up by reinforcing attendees' understanding of SonarQube's role in maintaining code quality and delivering secure, high-quality software. Attendees walked away with a refreshed understanding of SonarQube and valuable insights into the importance of clean coding practices in developing reliable and maintainable applications.

Autonomous AI Action: The Agentic AI Revolution

What was once considered a technology of the future has become a defining force of the present. As artificial intelligence continues to evolve, industry attention is shifting from content-generating systems toward autonomous, goal-driven AI capable of planning, reasoning, and taking action. This emerging paradigm, known as Agentic AI, is poised to reshape how organizations optimize processes, deliver services, and create business value.

The evolution of artificial intelligence can be viewed through three broad paradigms. Traditional AI laid the groundwork by analyzing existing information and making predictions based on defined datasets. Generative AI expanded these capabilities by enabling systems to create new content on demand, revolutionizing productivity through applications such as document drafting, code generation, and the processing of large volumes of unstructured information.

Agentic AI represents the next step in this evolution. Rather than simply generating information in response to a prompt, agentic systems are designed to pursue goals, plan actions, use external tools, and adapt based on feedback. By combining foundation models with strategic planning, memory, tool integration, and feedback loops, these systems can continuously evaluate their progress and adjust their actions toward achieving an objective.

When discussing Agentic AI, another closely tied term is the "AI Agent." While Agentic AI refers to the overall architecture and operational paradigm, an AI agent is a functional unit that executes specified tasks. Depending on the complexity of a task, an agentic system may use a single agent to manage an entire workflow or multiple specialized agents working together to complete different parts of the objective. To better understand how these systems operate, agentic architectures are generally categorized into two primary setups:

  • Single-Agent System - A single-agent architecture uses one unified reasoning loop to plan, execute, and refine the steps of a task. It is generally simpler to build, maintain, and operate, making it a practical starting point for many agentic applications. The workflow begins when the central agent accepts a goal, determines sub-steps, calls the appropriate external tools, and monitors its own context to deliver a final output.
  • Multi-Agent System - A multi-agent architecture divides complex objectives among several specialized agents working within a collaborative or hierarchical environment. An orchestrator can assign subtasks based on each agent’s area of expertise, while the agents communicate through structured interactions to work toward the overall objective.

While these architectures provide a framework for understanding how Agentic AI works, their real value lies in how they can be applied to practical business challenges. For Alliance Software Inc., this emerging technology presents opportunities not only to expand our technical capabilities but also to explore new ways of solving problems, automating workflows, and creating value for clients.

Understanding the transformative power of Agentic AI, Alliance Software Inc. is actively exploring and advancing the adoption of agentic technologies across the organization. Through initiatives such as the Alliance AI Innovation Lab, hands-on AI Agent challenges, proof-of-concept projects, and ongoing SPARK Days knowledge-sharing sessions, employees gain practical exposure to agentic applications and emerging use cases. This learn-by-doing approach helps build expertise in designing, developing, and deploying AI agents while giving engineering teams opportunities to explore how agentic technologies can automate complex workflows and create measurable business value. This commitment to continuous learning reflects Alliance's ambition to remain at the forefront of AI innovation.

These internal efforts also inform Alliance's client-focused innovation. As organizations increasingly seek autonomous systems that can plan, reason, and manage end-to-end operations with minimal oversight, Alliance is exploring and developing scalable, Agentic AI-powered solutions designed to streamline workflows, accelerate decision-making, and drive measurable productivity. By bridging our software engineering expertise with emerging agentic architectures, Alliance aims to help clients move beyond AI-assisted workflows toward more intelligent and autonomous digital environments. Through both internal transformation and client-focused innovation, Alliance is positioning itself as an active participant in shaping the future of Agentic AI.

Nihongo Corner: Japanese Etiquette

When learning a new language, it is not just about memorizing words and grammar. Culture plays a big role too. In Japanese, how you say something can be just as important as what you say. This is because Japanese communication is deeply rooted in politeness and respect.

Have you ever noticed in Japanese shows or conversations that people seem very formal or careful with their words? This is not accidental. It reflects a system of etiquette that is built into the language itself.

In this Nihongo Corner, let us explore three simple but important aspects of Japanese etiquette: bowing, honorifics, and politeness levels.

Bowing: More Than Just a Greeting

Bowing, or ojigi (おじぎ), is one of the most recognizable parts of Japanese culture. While it may look simple, it carries different meanings depending on how it is used.

In daily interactions, a slight bow is often used as a greeting, similar to saying 'hello' or 'thank you.' A deeper bow shows more respect or apology.

For example: a small nod for a casual greeting, a deeper bow to show respect, and a very deep bow for a sincere apology.

Even in workplaces, bowing is commonly used together with greetings such as Ohayō gozaimasu (おはようございます, "Good morning").

Honorifics: Showing Respect Through Names

Another key part of Japanese etiquette is the use of honorifics. These are suffixes added to names to show respect.

-san is a general polite suffix used for most people, for example, Tanaka-san.

-sensei is used for teachers, doctors, or professionals, for example, Hino-sensei.

-kun is often used for younger males or subordinates in a friendly way.

-chan is a cute and affectionate suffix often used for children or close friends.

Using honorifics correctly is very important because omitting them can sound too casual or even rude.

Politeness Levels: Casual vs Formal Japanese

Japanese has different levels of politeness depending on who you are talking to. This system is called keigo (けいご).

The casual form is used with friends, family, and people you know well. For example, taberu (食べる, "to eat") and genki? (元気?, "How are you?").

The polite form is commonly used in workplaces, schools, and other formal situations. For example, tabemasu (食べます) and ogenki desu ka? (お元気ですか。, "How are you?").

In professional environments, even more polite expressions are used to show respect to superiors or clients.

Why Japanese Etiquette Matters

Understanding Japanese etiquette helps you communicate more naturally and respectfully. It is not just about speaking correctly, but also about showing awareness of others.

Japanese etiquette shows how language and culture are closely connected, helping you appreciate communication more deeply.

Paddles Up! Celebrating the Alliance Software Inc. Pickleball Club Launch

"Sometimes, all it takes is trying something new"

Alliance Software Inc. officially launched its Pickleball Club last May 29, 2026, giving employees a new opportunity to stay active, meet new people, and strengthen connections across the organization.

More than introducing a new sport, the club aims to create opportunities for employees to connect beyond their usual team circles. By bringing together employees from different business units, the club provides a space to meet new people, build friendships, and strengthen cross-functional relationships—all while enjoying a fun and accessible activity.

Beyond fostering connections, the club also gives employees an opportunity to step outside their comfort zones and try something new. Whether someone is completely new to pickleball or already has experience, the club welcomes everyone to learn and play together.

"Our goal is to break the barriers between our cross-functional teams," shared Mr. Dave (Account Executive), Club Coordinator and Facilitator. "We don't want people to be limited to their own teams. Through pickleball, we hope they can collaborate, coordinate, and build friendships with people from across Alliance."

The club’s message of trying something new also reflects Mr. Dave’s own experience with the sport. His journey into pickleball began unexpectedly, without any particular reason or inspiration.

"Nothing really inspired me to play at first," he said. "But after I tried it, I really enjoyed it."

That experience is exactly why he encourages others not to hesitate when faced with something unfamiliar.

"Never be afraid of trying something new because life gets boring when you stay within the limits of what you already know," he said. "It's better to fail while trying than to never try at all."

Aside from promoting health and wellness, the club also offers employees an affordable recreational activity, with lower court fees than many other sports. More importantly, every game becomes an opportunity to connect with colleagues, strengthen teamwork, and create a more inclusive workplace community.

Looking ahead, the club hopes to continue growing both in membership and in skill. The long-term vision is to build a supportive team that continues to improve together and, one day, proudly represent Alliance Software in pickleball tournaments.

"We want the team and the club to prosper," Mr. Dave shared. "We hope everyone continues to improve their gameplay, grow together as a team, and hopefully represent Alliance Software in future tournaments."

As the club begins its journey, Mr. Dave encourages all Alliance Software employees—whether beginners or experienced players—to join, learn more about the sport, meet new people, and become part of a community that grows together.

With the successful launch of the Pickleball Club, Alliance Software Inc. continues to create opportunities for employees to connect beyond work, embrace healthier lifestyles, and build stronger relationships across the organization. What started with a simple game of pickleball can become a new way for employees to connect, grow, and—just like the club’s message reminds us—try something new.

Managers' Night Highlights Accountability, Innovation, and Winning Together

This year's Managers' Night served as more than a gathering of the company's leaders. It became an opportunity to reinforce key priorities that will shape the organization's success in the years ahead: accountability, resilience, innovation, and customer focus. While the event was for managers, the discussions carried a message that extends beyond just the leaders but applies to each and every employee across the organization.

The event featured messages from Sherwin Yu, Chief Operating Officer; Kendrick Chong, Vice President for Commercial and Partnerships; Annalie Ponce-Minoza, Vice President; Shelly Abadiano, PMO Manager II; and Geraline Sagun, Assistant Vice President of Human Resources. Through their messages, the speakers emphasized the importance of accountability, commitment, innovation, and service excellence in achieving both individual and organizational success.

A key message resonated throughout the event:

Great service delivery is not the responsibility of managers and leaders alone. It is the responsibility of every member of the team. Every ticket completed, every issue resolved, and every commitment honored contributes to our customers' success.

This powerful reminder emphasized that accountability is not defined by one's position or title. Whether leading a team or contributing as an individual, every employee plays a vital role in delivering quality service and fulfilling the organization's commitments. Taking ownership of responsibilities, honoring commitments, and consistently performing with integrity are essential to building trust among colleagues and customers.

Delivering commitments also requires continuously finding better ways to work. The event emphasized the need for resilience and continuous innovation in today’s changing business landscape. The speakers highlighted AI as a key enabler in amplifying human capability, improving efficiency, and helping teams work smarter and faster.

Technology alone, however, does not drive success. Equally important is how teams work together to transform these capabilities into better outcomes for customers.

While individual accountability is essential, long-term success depends on how effectively teams work together to deliver value to customers.

"Winning together is our greatest advantage. While competitors may match our pricing, our features, or even our products, what sets us apart is something they cannot replicate: our culture, our collaboration, our speed, and our deep commitment to customers."

The speakers emphasized that when teams work seamlessly across functions, they do more than just deliver solutions. They create experiences that build trust, drive loyalty, and contribute to lasting customer success.

These principles translate into everyday actions—from communicating proactively and following through on commitments to supporting colleagues and taking ownership of outcomes. When practiced consistently, these behaviors strengthen collaboration, improve service delivery, and help teams succeed together.

Managers’ Night concluded with a shared understanding that winning together begins with accountability. By taking ownership, embracing innovation, supporting one another, and remaining committed to customer success, every employee can help shape a stronger, more resilient, and a more successful organization.
